Portrait Photographer

Making your clients feel relaxed and at ease is a pre requisite for a Portrait Photographer. I always photograph my subjects in a location where they feel comfortable. I may be photographing a celebrity or a family with young children who have never been in front of a lens before. Both situations require a different approach. Sometimes speed is important, on other occasions you need  patience and understanding. I recently photographed a family of five children and three dogs. It turned out beautifully because it only took me five minutes. I knew I had to get the picture in the first fifty frames! The key is to research the location, know where the sun will be, know if you will need extra lighting and have it set up when your clients arrive, then strike while the iron is hot!
