Commercial Photographer Rupert WattsRupert trained in London as a commercial Photographer, working mostly on fashion and beauty accounts. He worked in a variety of different disciplines and learned the ropes in a hands on way as a hungry assistant photographer. Over the last twenty five years he has worked as a commercial photographer in London and Paris, photographing everything from fashion, interiors and all genres in between. "The variety of opportunities that have come my way over the years have given me the knowledge and experience to give you images that get noticed". Rupert is not just a commercial Photographer, he is an artist. His strength lies in his innate sense of style and design. For much of his early years he was working under the watchful eye of the style guru Sir Terence Conran, photographing for Habitat and The Conran Shop. Later on he was hired on prestigious campaigns for Colefax and Fowler, the interior design house in London. Since then he has been fortunate enough to have worked for many of the top names in home furnishing and interiors. More recently, Rupert's love of photographing interiors, gardens and people was recognized by The Duchess of Rutland and has been put to great effect in a book written by her, in which Rupert has shown himself to be capable of some of the most striking portraiture, the title, Belvoir Castle, a Thousand Years of Family, Art and Architecture is published by Frances Lincoln. Based in Elton near Peterborough, he is ideally placed for contracts in London, The Midlands, East Anglia and The North of England; his work takes him to many far flung corners of the British Isles. Most of my work is on location in the UK and France where I worked for a year photographing poster campaigns for Leclerc Supermarkets. With fluent French I am happy working with our friends across the channel. I mostly photograph people orientated commercial advertising, Fashion and PR shots. I have a love of occupation, trade related portrait photography. |
